The Kitagwenda Water and Sanitation Project.
RC Kololo, RC Kenosha, RC Ibanda and Kitagwenda District Local Government.
A 2017 mapping study by Water for People for Kamwenge (Kitagwenda) District showed:
58% had access to safe and clean water
48% had access to improved sanitation facilities
24% households and handwash facilities
Pupil: Latrine ratio in Primary Schools as 58:1 (normal is 40:1)
This situation was compounded by inadequate funding for this new district.
